About Me
MINA BEDOGNE

Howdy! My name’s Mina, and I’m glad you stopped by my discombobulated corner of the internet. I go by many titles, including Waterway Steward, Shepherd, and, most recently, Environmental Policy and Planning Commissioner. I’m not quite sure I can call myself a writer or even a fully functional human being, for that matter, but I promise I’m working on it! Oh yeah, and I’m also an Environmental Science and Management major (in case that wasn’t painfully obvious) specializing in natural resource management.

If you’re ever looking for me, good luck. I’ll probably be outside, but there’s no telling where—perhaps rowing or wading knee-deep through the Arboretum waterway, riding an oversized tricycle around campus, or rolling in dirt (sorry, I meant soil) while attacking weeds at some restoration site (which, I can assure you, is one of the most therapeutic activities in the world). When I’m not wreaking havoc in the great outdoors, I’m likely reading, listening to true crime podcasts, sleeping on a random bench, or attempting to be a good student at one of the library’s standing desks.

All joking aside, I love to write and am especially interested in the role of science communication in bridging the disconnect between environmental science and policy. As I look toward graduation in Spring 2023, I am excited to write an honors thesis related to community wildfire vulnerability, engage in environmental coursework and extracurriculars, and enjoy all of Davis’s quirks and unique opportunities.
